Charlene Payte

Charlene Payte, age 61, of Glenwood, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016. She was born on March 2, 1955 in Coffeyville, Kansas, the daughter of Galen Leroy Stevens and Elaine Nelson Stevens. On March 27, 1973, she was married to Joey Payte. She was employed with Hamilton West Family Medicine/Quest. She was a member of the Bonnerdale Seventh Day Adventist Church and the Christian Motorcyclist Association. She is survived by her husband, Joey Payte of Glenwood; two children, Malena Selby of Kirby and Nicholas Payte of Glenwood; two grandchildren, McKayla Selby and Rylan Payte; one brother, Douglas Sughert of Mexico; and three sisters, Christine Young of Oklahoma, Gayla Carr of Nebraska and Carol Stevens of New Mexico. Services will be held at 4:00 PM, Sunday, May 22, 2016, in the Bonnerdale Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Brandon Westgate officiating. Visitation will be Friday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Mount Tabor Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
