Charlene Turner Vaught

Charlene Turner Vaught, age 83, of Glenwood, died Thursday, August 9, 2012. She was born on July 24, 1929 at Langley, the daughter of Bonnie Turner and Essie Mitchell Turner. On February 14, 1946, she was married to Millard Vaught who preceded her in death on February 20, 2005. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Merle Turner. She was Free Will Baptist in her faith and had been active in the Glenwood Senior Citizens Center. She is survived by three children and their spouses, Sheryl and Keith Whitehead of Cache, Oklahoma, Virginia and George Hopper of Glenwood and Rickey and Amber Vaught of Coppell, Texas; two granddaughters and their spouses, Lisa and Brian Bradley and Dana and Fred Lohr, all of Cache, Oklahoma; two step-grandchildren, Greg Hopper and Shanna Stewart both of Glenwood; four great-grandchildren, Keelyn Elliott, Devin Elliott, Dustin Lohr and Maci Lohr; one great-great-grandson, Carson McVicker; and two sisters, Jimmie Killian of Edmond Oklahoma and Linda Durham of Noble, Oklahoma. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, August 10, 2012, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Tom DuBose officiating. Interment will be in the Lodi Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Dustin Lohr, Fred Lohr, Devin Elliott, Junior Carpenter, Jimmie Buck and Danny Britt. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
