Cindy J. Ennis, age 64, of Royal, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018.
She was born on July 24, 1954, in Little Rock, the daughter of Phil Eugene Simmons and Peggy Jean Freeman Simmons. On June 4, 1995 she married Jerry Ennis. She is preceded in death by her parents; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jake Earl Duncan and Edna Duncan; her brother-in-law, Rex Ennis; her sisters-in-law, Lu Keener and Gladys Henry; and her grandson, Jake Anthony Duncan.
Cindy was a Godly Christian and a member of Rector Heights Baptist Church. She never met a stranger and found good in everyone. When she asked you how you were doing, it was heart-felt and she really wanted to know. Cindy was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother. She loved her family and would do anything for them and loved spending time with them. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 23 years, Jerry Ennis of Royal; her son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Deena Duncan of Benton; three daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda and Nathan Lamb of Hot Springs, Trisha Storey and Duane Slagley of Hot Springs; Faith Smith and Don Ward of Sheridan; step-daughter and care giver, Tonya and Mike Frank of Pearcy; her eight grandchildren, Brooklyn Brown, Alyssa Hancock, Devin Hannah, Layne Duncan, Aubree Duncan, Ava Duncan, Emma Duncan and Anthony Smith; her two great-grandchildren; her sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and Pete Anzaldua of Royal; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Roger Ennis of Tupelo, Mississippi, Shelia and Larry Vincent, Ricky Ennis, Bonita and Ed Kennedy, James Henry and Bobby Kenner, all of Hot Springs; nieces, Libby Anzaldua and Jessica Anzaldua; nephew, Ben Moore; other nieces, nephews, extended family members; her life-long friend, Brenda and Lloyd Robertson; personal friend and care giver, Ella Ennis; and a host of wonderful friends.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 9, 2018, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs with Bro. Mike Smith officiating.
Visitation will be from 6:00PM - 8:00PM, Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Cleo; the staffs of Hospice of Central Arkansas, and Village Springs Health and Rehab.
