Cleda Bobo Michener

December 22, 1932 — September 28, 2013

Cleda Bobo Michener, age 80, of Black Springs, joined her Savior Saturday, September 28, 2013. She was born on December 22, 1932 at Alpine, the daughter of Carlos T. Jones and Oma Mae Seals Jones. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Bobo; her parents; and her brother, Lowell Jones. A graduate of Norman High School, she served as Montgomery County Clerk for six years and worked for the Montgomery County/Polk County Juvenile Services. She supported many different causes through the years and served with the Norman Volunteer Fire Department. She was an active member of the Black Springs Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Loren "Mitch" Michener of Black Springs; three daughters and their spouses, Diana and Wade Wright of Black Springs, Dena and Bill Boyd of Decatur, Alabama and Karen and Jody Hamilton of Mount Ida; one son and his wife, Denver and Debbie Bobo of Black Springs; two step-daughters and their spouses, Cheryl and Don Rogers of Texarkana and Karen and Craig Lane of Midway, Texas; one step-son, Alan Michener of California; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one sister, Thelma Jean Dollar of Corsicana, Texas. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 1, 2013, in the Black Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Bryan Adair and Bro. Tim Love officiating. Visitation will be Monday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Black Springs Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Clayton Swanger, Charles Swanger, Dallas Bobo, Jodie Bissell, David Lybrand and Denny Cowart. Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler Lybrand, Junior Graves and Hoss Loudermilk.
