Corene Runyan Kibbey

Corene Runyan Kibbey, age 81, of Amity, went to be with the Lord in Heaven on Wednesday, February 13, 2013. She was born on September 9, 1931 at Amity, the youngest of eight children of Jess and Rosa Lambert Runyan. On August 13, 1949, she married the love of her life, Homer Kibbey, who preceded her in death on May 19, 2000. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Marie Wright, Lucille Runyan and Laverne Lambert; and two brothers, Andrew Runyan and Herbert Runyan. She enjoyed working as a substitute teacher at Centerpoint Schools and was very active in the Glenwood Senior Citizens Center and Shiloh Church of Christ. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Debbie Kibbey of Bonnerdale; her grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Jarred and Paige Kibbey of Little Rock; her sister, Nova Lee Vincel of Amity; her brother, Edison Runyan of Traskwood; her sister-in-law, Lilly Mae Hibbs of Midland, Michigan; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 17, 2013 in the Shiloh Church of Christ with Rick Collie and Cloys Runyan officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Sweet Home Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Jim Gillespie, David Weiner, Robert Runyan, Wayne Collie, Buddy Lambert and Brad Turner. Honorary pallbearers will be Milton Runyan, Gary Runyan, Bradley Massey, Myron Massey and Mike Lambert. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
