Debra Fern Dant, 81, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2019.
She was born on October 25, 1937 in Glenwood, Arkansas, the daughter of William Coleman and Mae Garrett Coleman. She was preceded in death by both parents; her husband, Lou Dant; two brothers, TJ Coleman and Ray Coleman; and one sister, Edwina Coulson.
Debra was a lover of all creatures great and small. She delighted in raising her children and doting on her grandchildren. Her nurturing spirit was also evident in her garden where she loved to grow flowers and admire butterflies. She will be greatly missed by anyone who knew her love.
She is survived by the love of her life of over thirty years, Dean Yakish of Hot Springs; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sheri and Eddie King, and Rikki and George Jensen; stepdaughter, Liz Mowery, all of Hot Springs; eight grandchildren, Tori, Dakota, and Shannon Jensen; Asher, Alex, and Ashlynn King; Justin Hewitt, and Sarah Jones, all of Hot Springs; brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Linda Coleman of Amity; brother, Billy Coleman of Texas; her fur baby, “Blondie,” as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 10, 2019, at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hot Springs.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
