Donnie Ray Coppedge, age 68, of Hot Springs passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018.
He was born in Holdenville, Oklahoma on October 5, 1949, the son of Billy Ray Coppedge and Wilma Orsburn Coppedge. On June 8, 1992, he married Jacqueline Davis Coppedge. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son Christopher Coppedge.
Donnie was a brilliant man, able and willing to fix about anything. His masterful handiwork led him to open his own businesses. His last professional venture was Don’s Backhoe and Welding. He took great pride in his work, enjoyed tinkering in his shop, and serving others. He also had a heart for animals
He is survived by his wife Jacqueline Coppedge of Hot Springs; son Jim Burns (Carri) of San Diego, CA; son John Burns of Dallas, TX; grandson Trent Coppedge and his sons Kyler and Gunner Coppedge; three brothers, Tommy Coppedge (Diane), Billy Coppedge, and John Coppedge (Heather); sister Linda Stipes (Kim), as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and anyone fortunate enough to call him friend.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs with Jimmy Grinder officiating.
