Eldon Lee Lambert

September 3, 1953 — June 17, 2015

Eldon Lee Lambert, age 61, of Story, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, June 17, 2015. He was born on September 3, 1953, in Mount Ida, the son of Forrest Lambert and Fannie Williams Lambert. After the death of his father, Forrest Lambert, he was raised by his mother and step-father, Clyde Lambert. He was preceded in death by his two dads and two infant grandchildren. An avid outdoorsman, Eldon spent most of his time outside. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and especially running his dogs. Eldon was a kind hearted man that was dedicated to taking care of his family. He loved keeping up his farm and talking to his friends. His grandson, Kelvin, was absolutely his pride and joy. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Deborah Lambert of Story; three children, Amy Bryant and her husband, Chad, of Story, Josh Lambert and his wife, Dena, of Buckville and Brett Lambert of Story; his grandson, Kelvin Bryant of Story; his mother, Fannie Lambert of Mount Ida; three sisters, Rosey Price and her husband, Charles, of Hot Springs, Debbie Standridge and her husband, Steve, of Mount Ida and Becky Abernathy of Mount Ida; his uncle, Sonny Fry and his wife, Patsy, of Mansfield; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 20, 2015, in the Muddy Creek Church of God with Bro. Johnny Bratton and Bro. Roger Harper officiating. Interment will be in the Reed Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Josh Lambert, Leasel Bryant, Charles Price, Keith Solley, Jimmy Abernathy, Brad Fry, Ty Whitlow and Jeff Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Glen Noles, Lynn Heller, Melvin Lambert, Charles Lambert, Keith Blocker and Wendell Adams, Sr. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
