Ella Faye Cogburn

Ella Faye Cantrell Cogburn, age 82, of Amity, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016. She was born on May 3, 1934, in Amity, the daughter of Joseph Willis Cantrell and Melica S. Henthorn Cantrell. On December 23, 1949, she was married to the true love of her life, Clifton Cogburn. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Vernon Cantrell and Delous Cantrell; two sisters, Willie Jean Garner and Ima Jewel White; and her son-in-law, Chris Null. She was a member of the Glenwood First Assembly of God. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, quilting, gardening, canning her pickles, working in the yard with Clifton and singing. She was a wonderful, loving and cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, whose greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her memory will remain in each of their hearts forever. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Clifton Cogburn of Amity; her two daughters and one son-in-law, Wilma Null of Malvern and Reda and Leroy Cowart of Lewis, Colorado; two grandsons and their spouses, Mark and Nikki Null and Matt and Randi Cowart; four great-grandchildren, Savanna and Carson Null and Keegan and Bristol Cowart; several nieces, nephews and extended family members; and a host of wonderful and loving friends. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 29, 2016, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. David Walker and Bro. Bob Wiyott officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, prior to the services. Interment will be in the Coker Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Null, Charles Spears, Kevin Evans, Raymond Whitehead, Dustin Brymer and Gaylen Porter. Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Cowart, Leroy Cowart, Bob Frager, Terry Simmons and Richie Richardson. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
