Ellen Galloway

Ellen Galloway, age 87, of Pencil Bluff, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at her home. She was born on July 26, 1932 in Dallas, Georgia, the daughter of Wilson C. Teel and Rubye Matthews Teel. In 1953, she was married to Paul B. Kolb who preceded her in death in 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her oldest daughter, Paula "Kathy" Kolb Boukhalfa; and her brother, Wilson C. Teel, Jr. In 1998, she married Robert "Bob" Galloway. Ellen enjoyed her life on the farm, working in her garden and flower beds and being with her Bob, or as she called him, "My Bob." She wrote the Pencil Bluff news as a community correspondent for the Montgomery County News for many years until failing eyesight and health issues caused her to stop. Those were some her favorite years. She is survived by her husband, Bob Galloway of Pencil Bluff; her daughter, Margaret "Maggie" Holzinger of Lebanon, Indiana; three granddaughters; and two grandsons.
