Eva Ashcraft

Eva Ashcraft, age 91, of Oden, died Saturday, November 26, 2011. She was born on May 8, 1920 at Oden, the daughter of George Grady "Uncle Bud" Ballentine and Henrietta "Aunt Etta" Pullen Ballentine. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Ashcraft; and her sister, Mildred Inlow. A homemaker, she enjoyed taking care of her home, reading and raising her garden. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Duffy and Jane Ashcraft of Oden; her granddaughter, Leigh Meeks and her husband, Dale Peterson, of Katy, Texas; her great-grandson, Derek Meeks of McKinney, Texas; and a special niece, Glenna Ewing of Glenwood. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 29, 2011 in the Oden Cemetery with Bro. Paul Burke officiating.
