Francille Jester Kirksey, age 79, of Amity, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017. She was born on September 4, 1937, in Prescott, the daughter of Lonnie Jester and Lena Jacobs Jester. On January 25, 1957, she was married to Billy Charles Kirksey. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving sister, Mary Jo Arnold; and two brothers, Grady Jester and Jimmy Jester. Francille was a faithful member of the Amity United Methodist Church for 53 years. She loved her church and was a former Sunday school teacher and member of UMW. She was active in the Amity PTA and served as a substitute teacher for several years. Francille worked at East Nursery in Amity and was instrumental in helping her son, Brian, start Spring Creek Nursery. We were all truly blessed to have shared laughter, many awesome meals, hugs and love with Francille, a/k/a Gam. We have all learned how to make family special with her. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, who loved us dearly. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Billy Kirksey of Amity; two sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Nan Kirksey of Fendley and Barry and Cheryl Kirksey of Hot Springs; four grandchildren, Kathryn Speights, and her husband, Sloan, John Brian Kirksey, Hunter Kirksey and Asher Kirksey; four special nieces and nephews and their spouses, Wayne and Judy Arnold, Charlotte and Danny Jewel, Steve and Glenda Arnold and Jim and Linda Jester; one step-brother, Roe Carson; numerous extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends. Services will be held at 2:30 PM, Sunday, February 19, 2017, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Glen Harris officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM, prior to the services. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Fendley. Pallbearers will be Wayne Arnold, Steve Arnold, Danny Jewel, Sloan Speights, John Brian Kirksey, Hunter Kirksey and Asher Kirksey. Honorary pallbearers will be Dale and Neeka Richardson, Emily Herring, Martha Robertson and Amity UMW. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Amity United Methodist Church, P.O.
