Georgia Plunkett, age 92, of Amity, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018, She was born on January 9, 1926 in El Dorado, the daughter of Dewey Franklin Arnold and Dona Cordell Harvey Arnold. On April 12, 1946, she was married to Robert Plunkett who preceded her in death on June 3, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Clinton H. Arnold; and her sister, Frankye C. Hawkins. A retired secretary, she was an accomplished seamstress, and enjoyed crafts and painting. She also had been active with the Pike County EHC. She is survived by five children, Cindee Bromley of Norman, Gary (Kay) Plunkett of Norphlet, Cheryl (Bo) Martin of Friendship, Charity (Paul) Lawson of Kirby and Clayton (Brittany) Plunkett of Kirby; her daughter-in-law, Laura Plunkett of Kirby; five grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 14, 2018, in the Liberty Cemetery at Newhope with Bro. Jack Herring officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Hospice Foundation, 14 Parkstone Circle, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72116.
