Gertrude Hunter Duck

Gertrude Hunter Duck, age 73, of Glenwood, died Thursday, December 29, 2011. She was born on August 11, 1938, the daughter of Lee Hunter and Daisy Hollifield Hunter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Duck; her parents; paternal grandparents, Benjamin T. Hunter and Nancy Belle Arnold Hunter; and her maternal grandparents, John Issac Hollifield and Alice Pennington Hollifield; and several aunts and uncles. She was a member of the Glenwood Church of Christ and active in the Glenwood Senior Citizens Center. She is survived by two aunts, Juanita Hunter Middleton and Batsy Hollifield Stafford; and several cousins. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 2, 2012, in the Glenwood Church of Christ with E. J. Johnson officiating. Visitation will be Monday, 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, at the church. Interment will be in the Glenwood Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Chuck Golden, Robert Mecum, Doyce Golden, Stanley Beck, Ricky Deaton and Doyle Shields. Memorials may be made to the Glenwood Senior Citizens Center, P.O.
