Grady "Bruce" Johns

Grady "Bruce" Johns, age 49, of Amity, died Saturday, August 16, 2014. He was born on December 1, 1964 in Hot Springs, the son of Garry Johns and Nina Bean Johns. On September 6, 1996, he was married to Marcy Doster. A Christian in his faith, Bruce attended Word of Faith Outreach. He enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandchildren who called him "Chief". He was a cancer survivor. His battle with cancer was fought long and hard but, in the end, he was diagnosed as cancer free. He is survived by his wife, Marcy Johns; three children and their spouses, Daysha and Nathan McAnally, B. J. and Jessica Johns and Noah Johns; three grandchildren, Garrett McAnally, Harper Johns and Sawyer Johns; his parents, Garry and Nina Johns, all of Amity; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Trevor and Shanta Johns of Old Hickory, Tennessee and Wes and Lori Johns of Amity; his sister and brother-in-law, Tanya and Jeff Sandage of Glenwood; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bruce and Sharon Doster; his sister-in-law, Lisa Wheeler, all of Amity; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 PM, Monday, August 18, 2014, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with John McAnally and Trevor Johns officiating.
