Ina Mildred Smith

Ina Mildred Smith, age 91, of Bonnerdale, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2013. She was born on October 23, 1921, at Bonnerdale, the daughter of Solomon Phillips and Sarah Artimeca Buck Phillips. On June 30, 1940, she was married to John Hermon Smith who preceded her in death on May 28, 1974. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jerry Lynn Smith; her daughter, Marsha Jane Smith; two brothers; and three sisters. A member of the Mount Tabor Holiness Church, she was a devout Christian and faithfully enjoyed reading and studying her Bible. She also enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens, farming, cooking, sewing and riding her golf cart. She dearly loved her family and she will be deeply be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by five sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Norma Smith of Hot Springs, Eddie and Debby Smith of Glenwood, Lyndell and Shannon Smith of Bonnerdale, Stephen and Jill Smith of Glenwood and Karl Stanley and Wendy Smith of Bonnerdale; one daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Charles Montgomery of Pearcy; twenty grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of wonderful friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 8, 2013, in the Mount Tabor Community Church with Bro. J. B. Evans, Bro. Dennis Anderson and Bro. Tommy McDaniel officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday evening, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Mount Tabor Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be J.W. Lane Smith, Charles Montgomery, Jr., Jerry Smith, Adam Smith, Landon Smith and Trent Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Gideons International, P.O.
