James Palmer Payte

James Palmer Payte, age 77, of Hot Springs, died Monday, May 13, 2013. He was born on July 10, 1935 at Mount Tabor, the son of Olen Payte and Willie May Lackey Payte. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Richard "Sonny" Payte; and his nephew, Mike Reppo. He was a United States Army veteran and retired from Entergy. He is survived by his wife, Sue Payte of Hot Springs; his daughter and son-in-law, Jamie and Todd Pearce of Hot Springs; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Johnny and Gayla Payte of Hooks, Texas and Joey and Charlene Payte of Glenwood; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Eudeana and Gerald McCormick of Little Rock and Naomi and Jimmy Reppo of Glenwood; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 15, 2013 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood. Visitation will be Tuesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Mount Tabor Cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
