James Quinton Buck, age 87, of Bonnerdale, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 9, 2011, at the Montgomery County Nursing Home in Mount Ida. He was born on a snowy March 13, 1924, to John and LouElla Carpenter Buck in Bonnerdale in the log house built by his grandfather many years before him. Quinton was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of over fifty years; his daughter, Barbara Susan Farmer; his brother, Lessel Buck; and his sister, Clara Robbins. He was a member of Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Bonnerdale, where he served as a deacon for many years. Quinton enjoyed attending church, hunting, fishing, listening to his July and Walker hounds run a good race, watching and listening to the Razorback football and basketball games, and being entertained by his grandchildren. He leaves behind his daughter, Pamela Vines, and her husband, Bill, of Story; four grandchildren, Christopher Farmer, and his wife, Candice, of Garner, North Carolina, James Barry, and his wife, Cathy, of Bonnerdale, Andy Drennan of Hot Springs, and Becky Drennan Hedges, and her husband, Danny, of Malvern; four great-grandchildren, Murphy and Beckett Farmer of Garner, North Carolina and Peyton and Kate Hedges of Malvern; his sister, Velma Louton of Bonnerdale; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren; and a great host of friends and other loved ones.
