Jeanne Sweet

Jeanne "Maw" Sweet, age 94, of Hot Springs, died Tuesday, August 8, 2017. She was born on October 12, 1922 in Amity, the daughter of Arthur "Proc" Proctor and Essie Mae Garner Proctor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack H. Sweet; one son, David H. Sweet; one daughter, Patricia Ann Sweet; and her parents. Jeanne was a member of Amity First Baptist Church. She worked for many years at Proctors Cleaners in Amity. Jeannes greatest love in life was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed life and always had a green thumb for flowers. She is survived by two sons, Buddy Sweet and Casey Sweet; two daughters-in-law, Mona Hamilton and Liz Sweet, all of Hot Springs; four grandchildren, Patricia Sweet, David and Stacey Sweet, Megan Sweet and Shawn and Ariel Sweet; eight great-grandchildren, Zach Felts, Jacob Sweet, Stacia Dickenson, Elijah Dickenson, Kaleb Dickenson, Marly Sweet, Christopher Sweet and Matti Sweet; one great-great granddaughter, Abigail Sweet; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of wonderful friends. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 13, 2017 in the Oaklawn United Methodist Church with Bro. Russ Breshears officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday evening at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
