Obituary

Jerry Lynn Nooner, Pappa, age 74, of Hot Springs, was called home to the Lord on Tuesday, November 20, 2018.

He was born on April 25, 1944, in Hot Springs, the son of the late Wesley Nooner and Eunice Hall Nooner. On June 23, 1984, he married Roberta Lynne Blowney Nooner.

Jerry was an avid fisherman. He also loved camping, BBQ, and Razorback football. He aspired to be super-dad in his children’s eyes and most of all, enjoyed time spent with grandchildren - especially teaching them to fish!

He was preceded in death by both parents; one brother, John Nooner, one sister, Penny Moore; and one grandson, Josh Hudson.

He was a member of Piney Grove Methodist Church and retired from Terminix Pest Control after over twenty years of service. He also proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Lynne Nooner of Hot Springs; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Jerry Nooner of Enid Oklahoma, Ken and wife Michelle Nooner of Bonnerdale, and Ralph Schultz of Little Rock; three daughters and one son-in-law, Kori Nooner of Dallas, Carrie Bursloff of Benton, and Debbie and husband, Bill Hudson of Royal; eighteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, two brothers and one sister-in-law, (Edward) Buddy Nooner of Benton, and Alan and wife Linda Nooner of Hot Springs, as well as many nieces nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 7, 2018 at the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs, with Associate Bobby Thornton officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Piney Grove United Methodist Church.
