John David Fant

John David Fant, age 59, of Glenwood, died Monday, August 19, 2013. He was born on February 5, 1954, at Nashville, the son of Levi Fant and Winnie Garner Fant. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jerry Wayne Fant; and two nephews, Glen Fant and Brad Fant. He attended the Mount Joy Free Will Baptist Church. He enjoyed collecting guns, spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, and gardening. He dearly loved his family and his dogs. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Loy Barrett of Lodi; several nieces and nephews; and a host of wonderful friends. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 21, 2013, in the Mount Joy Cemetery with Bro. Kevin Jewell officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice, 628 Malvern Avenue, Hot Springs, Arkansas, 71901.
