John Kershner Sasser, born May 31, 1937, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2017 at his home in Hot Springs, Arkansas at the age of 79, after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joni Barber; and sister, Ferndella Sasser.
John is survived by his wife, Rosira Sasser; his father, James Barber, and his wife, Janis of Del City, Oklahoma; five children, Penny Smith and husband, Danny of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Pamela Miller of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, John Sasser and wife, Connie of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, Kelly Macias and spouse, David of Dallas, Texas and James Shaw and wife, Michelle of Morenci, Arizona; twenty-one grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; his sister, Penny Davis and husband, David of Edmond, Oklahoma; and many nieces and nephews. He loved his family deeply and was well loved.
John was a master at many crafts and a legend in his own time. He touched many lives through his unique and numerous talents; carpenter, hunter, avid fisherman, songwriter, storyteller, a true Harley man, professional card player and entrepreneur.
A life that touched so many can never be forgotten.
John's life will be celebrated with family and friends at his home in Hot Springs on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 4:00 PM.
