Ketha Jean Cooksey

Ketha Jean Cooksey, age 69, of Caddo Gap, died Thursday, December 4, 2014. She was born on July 23, 1945 at Norman, the daughter of John L. Carter and Ruth Roberts Carter. On April 21, 1962, she was married to Bobby Cooksey. She was preceded in death by her father; and her son, Bobby Dwayne Cooksey. She attended the Glenwood First Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by her husband, Bobby Cooksey of Caddo Gap; three children and their spouses, Karen and Jim Counts of Caddo Gap, Robert and Brenda Cooksey of Amity and Cindy and Clint McKellar of Caddo Gap; six grandchildren and their spouses, Krystal and Jesse Cox, Brandon Counts, Kara and Justin Baker, Karmen and Ryan Nolen, Jordan McKellar and Jared McKellar; three great-grandchildren, Zoe Cox, Ashton Baker and Jett Cox; her mother, Ruth Carter of Glenwood; four brothers, Jerry Carter of Mena, Mitchell Carter of Glenwood, Cecil Carter and Roger Carter, both of Bonnerdale; four sisters, Nadine Burgess of Bonnerdale, Lorece Burgess of Conway, Connie Carter Miller of Conway and Ellen Simpson of Glenwood; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 7, 2014, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. J. B. Evans, Bro. Scott Vaughn and Bro. Bob Wiyott officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Nelson Cemetery.
