Magil Smith

Magil Smith, age 77, of Kirby, passed away Friday, April 21, 2017. She was born on July 1, 1939 at Kirby, the daughter of Virgil William Golden and Frances Cordelia Simmons Golden. She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Ollie White on May 30, 1985 and later married Harvey Smith, who preceded her death on November 13, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Nena Stewart; her parents; three brothers; and three sisters. Magil was a member of the Mount Joy Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, camping, fishing and going to yard sales. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kriss and Missy White; her daughter and son-in-law, Tena and Randy Johnson, all of Kirby; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Chad and Kay Stewart, Wade and Staci Stewart, Jamie and Jaime Johnson, Doug and Valarie Johnson, Chance and Michelle Johnson, Steven and Shawna White and Maddie White; fifteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 25, 2017 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Bobby Golden officiating. Visitation will be Monday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Mount Joy Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her seven grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Twin Rivers Health and Rehab in Arkadelphia. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
