Martha Lynn Copeland Wilson

October 4, 1945 — March 18, 2013

Martha Lynn Copeland Wilson, age 67, of Amity, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 18, 2013. Martha was born on October 4, 1945 at Amity, the second of ten children born to Cleatous "Pete" Copeland and Ora Thomason Copeland. On December 4, 1963, she was married to Archie Wilson who preceded her in death on December 30, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her infant son, Bobby; her parents; and her brother, Wayne Copeland. Martha was a member of the Amity First Baptist Church. She loved to sing gospel songs; she loved people; and she loved her church. She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Sheila Wilson and Margaret and Butch Sims all of Amity; her two wonderful granddaughters, Brilynn and Brenlee Sims of Amity; seven sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and William Lambert, Joyce and Carl York and Lillie and Rickie Garner, all of Amity, Fern and James Wehunt of Caddo Gap, Penny and James Wright of Bonnerdale, Becky and Gary Schaefer of Scott and Della and Stan Mitchell of Alexander; her brother and sister-in-law, Arlo and Virginia Copeland of Bismarck; her sister-in-law, Bettie Copeland of Amity; her aunt, Estell Stroope of Camden; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 21, 2013 in the Amity First Baptist Church with Bro. John McAnally officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Jones Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Gary Bean, Robert Cooksey, Jerry Taylor, Gary Bean, II, Jody Cowart, Devon Porter, Dusty Skates and Nathan McAnally. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
