Michael Leon Davis

Michael Leon Davis, age 49, of Glenwood, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017. He was born on June 14, 1967, in Mena, the son of Donnie Davis and Francis Williams Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Jeannie; and two brothers, Dempsey and Glen. He was an active member of Community Bible Baptist Church and the Point of Aim Men's Outdoor Ministry. He was an extremely talented carpenter and always stayed busy building and creating. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing but, most of all, being with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Shelaine Davis of Glenwood; his son, Steven Davis of Malvern; three bonus children and their spouses, Jordan and John Sells of Glenwood, Matthew and Katie Gillenwater of Amity and FaithAnn Gillenwater of Glenwood; three grandchildren, Kaiden, Kamden and Raylee Mae; his brother, Danny Davis of Hopper; and his nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family and a host of friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 26, 2017, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Tony Hill and Bro. Sonny Bowen officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Fancy Hill Cemetery. Johnny White, Eric Whisenhunt, Kent Bragg, Matthew Gillenwater, Bubba Hargrove, Jake Hargrove, John Sells and Dalton Hill.
