Nona Sue Evans McNabb

Nona Sue Evans McNabb, age 73, of Amity, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018. She was born on October 21, 1944 in Amity, the daughter of Albert Teague and Rosie Henthorn Teague. On June 10, 1961, she was married to Loyd Edgar Evans who passed away on May 1, 1996. On May 31, 1999, she was married to Acey Richard McNabb who passed away on February 15, 2016. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Peggy Buck Cash; and four brothers, George Teague, J. D. Teague, Donald Teague and Jewell Teague. Nona was a member of the Caney Valley Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking and especially loved spending time with her family. She is survived by three children and their spouses, Dennis and Sheila Evans of Amity, Karen and Jay Mitchell of Glenwood and Kevin and Kim Evans of Amity; three grandchildren, Jeremy Mitchell and his fianc, Lilly Amos, Stephanie Dearing and her husband, Jay and Jennifer Upton and her husband, Corey; two great-grandchildren, Jaydyn Dearing and Gracie Dearing; her brother, Jerry Teague of Amity; two sisters, Claire Griffin of Texas and Dessie Goodman of Rusk, Texas; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and a host of friends. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 17, 2018, in the Caney Valley Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Keith Howell and Bro. Bryan Fendley officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Caney Valley Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Paul Edwards, Raymond Whitehead, Timmy Evans, Michael West, Jody Howell and Brad Evans. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
