Orville James Beals

Orville James Beals, age 82, of Bonnerdale, died Wednesday, March 25, 2020. He was born on April 21, 1937, in Arkadelphia, the son of Monroe Beals and Lilly Mae Cobb Beals. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Charles Beals, Richard Beals, Wayne Beals and Doyle Beals; one sister, Thelma Garrett; one infant brother; and one infant sister. Orville was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Bismarck, where he served as a Sunday School teacher and was actively involved with the hospitality committee. He graduated from Arkadelphia High School in 1955. After many years, he retired as owner operator of Beals Landscaping, along with his son. Orville enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his greatest pleasure was supporting his grandchildren in their sports and other activities and living for the Lord! He is survived by his son, Thomas and Sherri Beals of Langley, Oklahoma; four daughters, Rhonda McKellar of Plummerville, Yvonne Breakenridge of Hot Springs, Tina and Blake Nobles of White Hall and Kim Weeks and Louis Bader of Bonnerdale; twenty-eight grandchildren; forty-nine great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ron and Nelda Kaye Beals and Milton Beals, all of Hot Springs; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of wonderful friends. A private graveside service will be held with Bro. Blair Bates officiating, under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs. A public memorial service will be held at a later date. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Thomas James Beals, Cory Adam Beals, Trinity Leeland Beals, Anthony Tray Croft, Zachary Thomas Weeks and Tony Weeks. Honorary pallbearers will be his remaining grandsons. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
