She was also preceded in death by her parents; her daughter and son-in-law, Jaunelle and Wayne Dyer; two brothers, Russell Seals and Bob Seals; and her sister, Rena Cox. She retired after many years of service as the Umpire Postmaster, was a lifelong member of the Athens Holiness Church, and she dearly loved her church family. Pauline was the true meaning of a devoted, dedicated and doting wife, mother, grandmother and friend, whose greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all, but the memory of her love and kindness will carry on in each of their hearts forever. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Randy Welch; five grandchildren and their spouses, Phil and Debra Dyer, Tonya and Steve Elkington, Michele and Mike Medina, Tony and Melissa Welch and Eric Welch; six great-grandchildren, James W. Dyer, II and his wife Cate, Ben Dyer, Lindsay Birdsong, Emily Medina, Blake Welch and Trevor Welch; four great-great-grandchildren, Madison Dyer, Anabel Dyer, Killian Thompson and Lei'Ahi Tabil; her sister-in-law Gean Seals; three stepchildren and their spouses, Henri Ann and Frank Halter, Danny and Patricia Lipsey and Judy Cowling; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 15, 2015, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Bill Wakley and Bro. Dale Crawford officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Athens Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
