Raymond "Little Monkey" Kersey

Raymond "Little Monkey" Kersey, age 67, of Kirby, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2020. He was born on July 26, 1952 in Glenwood, the son of Carl Kersey, Jr., and Thelma Pinkerton Kersey. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Ronald Kersey. He was a United States Air Force veteran and retired truck driver. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by two sons, Raymond Kersey, Jr. of Nashville and Waylon Kersey and his wife, Rachel, of Amity; four grandchildren, Kohl Kersey, Hunter Kersey, Grayson Kersey and Kix Kersey; his brother, Phillip Kersey of Sacramento, California; two sisters, Patricia Kersey of Camden and Mary Sloan of Hot Springs; and his nieces and nephews. Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, Glenwood. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
