Roger Lambert, age 65, of Hot Springs, died Tuesday, April 9, 2019.
He was born on July 3, 1953, in Hot Springs, the son of Floyd Lambert and Frankie Anderson Lambert. On September 22, 1979, he married Sandra Scott. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jerry Lambert; and one nephew, Brent Hulsey.
Roger was retired from FedEx. He loved to collect antique cars and enjoyed riding motorcycles. He also enjoyed playing Santa Claus every Christmas and blacksmithing. Roger loved children and he enjoyed spoiling them and making them laugh.
He was a gentle man and was always willing to help anyone in need. Roger told Sandra three days prior to his death that he wanted to be remembered as someone that treated people with respect and kindness.
Roger is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sandra Lambert of Hot Springs; one brother, Michael Lambert of Hot Springs; two sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Mike and Brenda Hulsey and Terry and Roberta Bates all of Hot Springs; two nieces, Katie and Tanya; six nephews, Landon, Colton, Brad, Brady, Scott and Thomas; five great-nieces, Katie, Haley, Haedyn, Avery and Kristyn; eight great-nephews, Kyler, Ralston, Riley, Caden, Corbin, Hudson, Joshua and Matthew; cousins, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 13, 2019, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs with Rev. Brady Bates officiating.
Interment will be in Rock Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday evening.
Pallbearers will be Terry Bates, Brad Scott, Scott Hulsey, Milton Neal, Mitch Pruitt and Josh Johns.
Honorary pallbearers will be Art Weston, Brad Brown, Norma English, Mike Hulsey, Sherry Blackstead, the staff of Burgers and More and all of his coffee buddies.
