Ronnie Dingler, age 63, of Daisy, died Tuesday, June 26, 2012. He was born on August 22, 1948, at Hot Springs, the son of Aaron and Bernice Harding Dingler. On June 20, 1970, he was married to Sharon Garner. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was a 1966 graduate of Kirby High School; a proud U.S. Navy Veteran, a retired 40 year member of IBEW, a member of the Glenwood Masonic Lodge and the Buffalo Gap Masonic Lodge and a member of the Glenwood Church of Christ. Ronnie was among the founders of the Daisy Volunteer Fire Department. He was the Head Beagle of Team Snoopy and an active volunteer of the Tri-County Relay for Life where he worked among friends to find a cure for cancer. He volunteered and coached youth softball and baseball for a number of years and found great happiness teaching and playing sports with his children and grandchildren. He was a lifetime fan of the Kirby Trojans, Arkansas Razorbacks and Chicago Cubs. He was a pianist and a walking music encyclopedia. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren with his whole heart. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sharon Garner Dingler of Daisy; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tonya and Larry Vallee of Kirby and Danielle and Mich Brown of Kirby; eight grandchildren, Cole and Trevor Edwards, Elijah Williams, Garrett, Walker and Victoria Vallee and Auburn and Ronnie Beau Brown; two uncles and one aunt, Harold and Wilma Dingler, Betty Sue and Glen Self and Charles and Billie Jean Harding, along with many cousins. He will also be missed by two generations of adopted daughters, sons and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 29, 2012, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Dewight Mack, Dewayne Mack and E. J. Johnson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Mount Joy Cemetery in Daisy with military services conducted by the honor guards of the United States Navy and the Thaddeus H. Carraway Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2278. Pallbearers will be Jim Sweeden, Curly Partee, Brady Epperson, Bimbo Flemens, Roger Welch, Danny Dougan, Wayne Brewer, Paul Doster, Randy Markham, Ricky Markham and Dwayne Garner. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie's many Masonic lodge friends, IBEW friends, Relay for Life friends, Arkansas Hospice, VA Oncology, the Kirby sports teams and Southwest Arkansas baseball team.
