Shirley Ann Bailey Anderson, age 78, of Hot Springs, passed away Friday, November 22, 2019.
She was born on November 2, 1941, in Kerrville, Texas, the daughter of Morris Shephard Bailey and Aline Moore Bailey. She is preceded in death by her parents; and great-niece, Sabrina Smith.
Shirley was a member of Cedar Glades Baptist Church and a graduate of Hot Springs High School Class of 1961. Shirley retired after over 14 years with the Hot Springs School District Child Nutrition. She enjoyed several hobbies, but her love was to color pictures to give as gifts and send greeting cards to brighten others day, with a special bit of love to share with those very fortunate ones, that she thought of often. She was a very special person to friends and more so to her small family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Kimberly A. Hughes of Hot Springs; her grandson, Bailey James Hughes; her granddaughter, Katie Grace Hughes; her sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Jim Smith of Hot Springs; her special niece, Ellie Smith; her two nephews and their spouses, Danny and Terri Smith and David and Deana Smith; extended family members, and many wonderful friends.
A Celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 30, 2019, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs, with Pastor Shane Staton, Rev. Chris Hemund and Bro. Kevin McDaniel officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bailey Hughes, Jimmy Smith, Danny Smith, David Smith, Kevin Moore, Donny Moore, Max Smith, Alex Baldwin, Greg Cischke, Landon Dockery, the Pate family, caregivers, Deborah Beck and Gerlene Russell, Arkansas Area Agency on Aging staff, Arkansas Hospice staff, especially nurse Dee, Dr. Tim English and Dr. Harneet Pahwa, former HSSD Child Nutrition staff, friends and staff of Levi Towers, Baptist Eye Center of Little Rock staff and Lewis Sanders of Hot Springs Pharmacy.
