Shirley Carroll Patrick

Shirley Carroll Patrick, age 52, of Glenwood, died Monday, September 2, 2013. She was born on December 16, 1960, at Salem Oregon, the daughter of J. D. Carroll and Janet Mae Wood Carroll. She was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, Carl Darrell Hill; two brothers, A. J. "Sonny" Carroll and Billy Carroll; and two sisters, Annette Lamb and Pegi Cornish. She was Baptist in her faith. She and her husband, Joe, had a great passion for collecting and restoring antique cars and motorcycles; she loved the outdoors, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, kayaking and working in her flower beds. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, who dearly loved spending time with her family. To her daughter, Shelli, she was more than just her mother, she was "her very best friend", and she will forever deeply miss her. She is survived by her husband, Joe Patrick of Glenwood; her daughter and son-in-law, Shelli and Donnie Hill, Jr. of Delight; her son, Justin Bailey of Benton; four grandchildren, Dylan Bailey, Skylar Bailey, Destiny Bailey and Lanie Bailey; one brother, Thomas Ray Carroll of Mineral Springs; one sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Waymond Wagley of Kirby; several nieces and nephews; and a host of wonderful friends. Services will be held at 5:00 PM, Thursday, September 5, 2013, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Danny Eckert officiating.
