Wesley "Tinker" House, age 86, of Alpine, died Monday, July 4, 2011. He was born on July 17, 1924, at Newhope, the son of Lawrence Lee House and Frankie Ann Bennett House. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ivalee Craig House; his son, Wesley Lee "Rusty" House; his second wife, Doris White House; two brothers, Oather House and Doice House and two sisters, Virgie Parker and Lodie Carney. He was a retired logger, having worked for Curt Bean Lumber Company for over 35 years. He was a hunter and fisherman, but his greatest love was spending time with his grandkids. He is survived by four children and their spouses, Frankie and Luther Jackson of Alpine, Phyllis and Donny Cogburn of Alpine, Jackie and Brenda White of DeQueen and Mike and Glenna Reschke of Alpine; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one step-brother, J. D. Burke of Glenwood. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 6, 2011, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Billy Thomason and Bro. Melvin Markham officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Coker Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Timmy Jackson, Matthew Jackson, Dwight Weeks, D. J. Weeks, Dale Wright, Micah Holcombe, Charles Ducote and Kenneth Harding. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Spears, Joe Quinones, Horace Adams and Glen Davidson. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
