Anna Jewel Taylor

Anna Jewel Taylor, age 73, of Pine Ridge, died Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at her home. She was born on December 9, 1941 at Sims, the daughter of Thomas Beggs and Bertie Carter Beggs. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Roseann Lewis; her parents; and her sister, Judy Harbour. Anna's daddy taught her to play the guitar and she had a lovely singing voice. She met her future husband, Delmer Taylor, at church and a year later they were married. Anna was a wonderful housekeeper and excellent cook. She loved nothing more than preparing meals for her family and took great pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Above all, she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She is survived by her husband, Delmer Taylor of Pine Ridge; her son and daughter-in-law, Marty and Angie Taylor of Mena; six grandchildren and their spouses, Crystal and Ryan Bugg of Hot Springs, Luke Taylor, Heaven Taylor and Shyann Taylor, all of Mena, Dawn and Rob Szczepanek of Lake Grove, New York and Courtney Lewis of Hauppauge, New York; three great-grandchildren, Hannah Szczepanek, Joshua Szczepanek and Lillian Faith Bugg; and her siblings, Harry Beggs of Sims, Ogene Beggs of Chula, Jerry Beggs and his wife, Linda, of Chula and Joan Rodriguez of Sims. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, December 29, 2014, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood. Visitation will be Sunday, 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. Interment will be in the Lone Valley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Luke Taylor, Micaiah Beggs, Justice Beggs, Clint Beggs, Sam Jamell and Wren Williams.
