Arlene May Lambert

Arlene May DeSpirito Lambert, age 80, of Hot Springs, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021.

Arlene was born on April 5, 1941, in San Diego, California, the daughter of Frank John DeSpirito and Rose Emma Iapicca DeSpirito. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Rev. Jim Lambert; her sister, Ruth DeSpirito Tidwell; and her brother, Leonard DeSpirito.

She graduated from high school in California, shortly after she went to work for a coffee house named, “Coffee Mikes.” It was there, a young handsome United States Navy guy, stole her heart forever. On August 17, 1962, she married Jim D. Lambert. They owned several businesses throughout their 49 years of marriage before he was called home on June 3, 2012.

Arlene had her cosmetology license in California and Arkansas, she had Arlene’s Beauty shop here in Hot Springs. She was also a professional cake decorator. Arlene was a devout faithful Christian and was a member of Mount Tabor Church of Hot Springs. She loved the Lord and she would always talk about Him with anyone she would meet. She was a very loving, caring and most unselfish person, she always put others first. She loved and lived life for her family, we can hear Jesus say, “welcome home my precious and faithful servant.”

Arlene is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Hongbi Liu “Vivian” Lambert of Hot Springs; her daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Jim Morrison of Hot Springs; her grandchildren, Laura Bunting, Crystal and Omar SeSena, Candace and Drew Bynum, Todd Lambert and Kaytlyn Jones, Andrew Lambert and Christy Kicliter, Max and Alyssa Lambert, Rebecca Xinyi Li, Xiaosheng Luo “Leon”, Richard and Sarah Johnson and Jennifer and Michael Holmes; 20 great-grandchildren; her sisters and brother-in-law, Fran and Roger Schei of Pocatello, Idaho and Dee Nissen of Chula Vista, California; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and many wonderful friends.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 23, 2021, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs with Pastor Paul Thompson and Rev. Keith Pennington officiating.

Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Interment will be held at 2:30 PM in the Jefferson Cemetery in Winchester, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Todd Lambert, Andrew Lambert, Max Lambert, Drew Bynum, Brian Lambert, Jeremy Lambert and Jeff Lambert.
