Barbara Jean Gregory

Barbara “B.J.” Jean Gregory, age 84, of Mount Ida, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021.

She was born on May 2, 1937, in Little Rock, the daughter of Gordon Gregory and Ruby Fletcher Gregory. She is preceded in death by her parents; and one son, Greg Gregory.

B.J. worked for NASA and received her pilot’s license. She loved nature and to be outdoors, especially at her home. She had a love for animals so much that she had names for all the deer around her place and could feed the squirrels out of her hands. She was loved by all that knew her and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by two sons, Danny Greenwood of Angleton, Texas and Preston Gregory of Hot Springs; one granddaughter, Melanie Gregory; her brother, William Gregory of Tennessee; her sister, Jo Ann McAlister of Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, June 6, 2021, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM, prior to service.
