Ben "Papoo" Thrash

Ben “Papoo” Thrash, age 81, of Benton, passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021.

He was born on January 18, 1940, in Hot Springs, the son of Ben Thrash and Jewel Clyde Boyd Thrash. He was preceded in death by his parents. On March 10, 1972, he was married to the love of his life, Linda Kay Hilton Thrash.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force National Guard. He enjoyed watching all types of sports, but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, whom he adored with all his heart, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Linda Thrash; his two children, Steven Thrash and Kristine McDade and her husband, Justin, all of Benton; four grandchildren, Andrea, Makayla, Danyelle and Justus; his great-granddaughter, Attalia; his brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Nellie Thrash of Amity; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Memorial graveside services will be held by the family at 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 10, 2021, in the Salem Cemetery in Glenwood with Harold Vaughn officiating

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, Glenwood.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials may be made to the Salem Cemetery Association Fund, c/o Daisy Jenkins, 142 Spring Lake Drive, Glenwood, Arkansas 71943.
