Betty F. Blake

Betty Fern Blake, age 74, of Amity, died Saturday, May 3, 2014. She was born on August 6, 1939, at Newhope, the daughter of Claude Young and Annie Whisenhunt Young. On November 5, 1960, she was married to Robert Eugene Blake. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and one sister. She enjoyed quilting, reading, and loved spending time with her family. She had a deep faith in God. She is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Blake of Amity; three sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Connie Blake and Mark and Marsha Blake, all of Dayton, Texas, and Sammy and Melanie Blake of Nashville, Tennessee; three daughters, Paula Blake and Teresa Blake, both of Amity, and Barbara Brewer of Mobile, Alabama; her sister, Mae Dean Coffman of Bacliff, Texas; her sister-in-law, Thelma Weber of McComb, Mississippi; sixteen grandchildren, Misty, Danny, Jr., Robbie, Mark, Jr., Trey, Cecilia, Christine, Holly, Travis, Dalton, Brandi, Rainey, Amanda, Courtney, Keri and Madeline; nineteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, May 6, 2014, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Kenny Fant and Bro. Kevin Jewell officiating. Visitation will be Monday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in County Line Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Tina Ennis, RN, the wonderful staff of Arkansas Hospice, Donna and Margie.
