Bill Ratliff

May 12, 1961 — December 27, 2020

Bill Ratliff, age 59, of Hot Springs, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020.

He was born on May 12, 1961, in San Jose, California, the son of Leroy Ratliff and Polly Reliance Robinson Ratliff. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Shane Ratliff; his sister, Cherry Ratliff; his aunt, Phyllis Lock; and his uncle, Sandy Robinson.

For many years he worked as an over-the-road truck driver. He loved to cook, especially grilling and always thought of himself as a “Grill Master”! He enjoyed watching Netflix and was known to be a movie buff, and he was kind to everyone he met and would even give the shirt off of his back if he knew someone was in need. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, who he dearly loved with all his heart. He is truly going to be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Carla Ratliff; his son, Nathan Ratliff; his daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Joe Stelpflug, all of Hot Springs; his stepson, Brad Merkel of Benton; his stepdaughter and her husband, Amanda and Brian Brooks of Bryant; three grandchildren, Alexx, Hayden and Haylee Stelpflug; his brother, Jason Ratliff of Jonesboro; his uncle, Gordon Lock of Glenwood; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
