Billy Ray Collins, age 74, of Murfreesboro, passed away Monday, May 20, 2013. He was born on March 23, 1939, in Pike City, the son of Buster Collins and Rosie York Collins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Della Foshee Collins; his parents; his granddaughter, Rosie Collins; and his brother, Harold Collins. He was a member of the Pike City Missionary Baptist Church. He dearly loved his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Kim Collins and Richie and Stacy Collins, all of Murfreesboro and Mark and Melissa Collins of Nathan; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Roy Drye of Newhope and Jessica and Danny Young of Horatio; twenty-three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his sister and brother-in-law, Susie and Melvin Duren of Kirby; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. The family will hold a memorial service at 12:00 PM, Saturday, May 25, 2013, in the Pike City Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. James Shelby officiating.
