Bobby Brandon

Bobby Brandon, age 72, of Norman, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2015. He was born on March 30, 1943, in Caddo Gap, the son of James Carl Brandon and Nelax Ponder Waggoner. On December 21, 1963, he was married to Laura Zanni. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gene Waggoner and Jackie Waggoner; and one sister, Freda Hull. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and was a member of the Norman First Baptist Church. He also enjoyed watching old Westerns on television and was a huge NASCAR fan. Bobby deeply loved his family and his greatest joy in life was spending time with them, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he adored. He is survived by his loving wife, Laura Brandon of Norman; one son, Robert Brandon of Norman; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Lee Caldwell of Norman and Jennifer and Tim Morgan of Royal; six grandchildren, Jeremy Brandon, Anthony Brandon, Shalynn Brandon, Taylor Caldwell, Tyson Morgan and Taylor Morgan; four great-grandchildren, Noah Trout, Baylor Ditgen, Kaleb Brandon and Karleigh Brandon; his sister and brother-in-law, Paula and Charles Mullins of Hope; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 4, 2015, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Robbie Loudermilk officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday evening, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Mountain Home Cemetery, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Brandon, Anthony Brandon, Lee Caldwell, Tim Morgan, Steve Robbins, Tommy Davis and Greg Mullins. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Fred Divers, Ronnie Waggoner and the nurses and staff of Arkansas Hospice, 5th Floor, CHI St. Vincent, Hot Springs. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
