Calvin Horn

Calvin Horn, age 79, of Norman, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2015. He was born on August 13, 1935 at Mena, the son of Ottis and Lula Horn. On May 7, 1960, he was married to Shirley Ann Sells. He owned and operated Horn Lumber Company for over 30 years and spent the rest of his life doing what he loved most, buying and selling land and timber. He is survived by his best friend, Shirley Horn of Norman; their daughter, Angela Horn Duke (Charlie Caldwell) of Glenwood; his two beloved grandsons, Clark Duke and Chandler Duke, both of Hollywood, California; two sisters, Wanda Horn McRae of Caddo Gap and Sharon Horn Shields of Glenwood; Bob Hodges of Glenwood, who he considered a son; and a host of family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, August 17, 2015, in the Black Springs Baptist Church. Visitation will be Sunday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Black Springs Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Tim Bean, Darrell Elkin, Nick Fowler, Bill Marsh, Denver McRae and Danny Powell. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
