Charles Clarence Kitchens

Charles Clarence Kitchens, age 64, of Kirby, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2020.

He was born on March 21, 1956 in Glenwood, the son of Thomas Wesley Kitchens and Ola Orrick Kitchens. On December 4, 1998, he was married to the love of his life, Regina A. Finney. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Norma Wright; and his brother, Kenneth Kitchens.

He was a life-long resident of Rock Creek Road in Glenwood and graduate of Kirby High School. He was a truck driver and mechanic by trade and a Christian in his faith raised in the Free Will Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his family, hunting and fishing. He will always be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, brother, Papaw and friend.

He is survived by his wife, Regina Kitchens; two sons, Scott Kitchens and Wesley Kitchens; two step-sons, Malven Kirkpatrick and Steven Kirkpatrick; nine grandchildren, Alissa Boyd, Jacob Kitchens, Wyatt Kitchens, Charles Kitchens, Lauren Spears, Ely Welch, Cheyanne Kirkpatrick, Cameron Kirkpatrick and McKinzy Kirkpatrick; and three sisters, Betty Carter, Bonnie Markham and Paggy Lambert.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 25, 2020, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. David Walker and Bro. Kenny Fant officiating.

Visitation will be Sunday, 1:00 PM until service time, at the funeral home.

Social distancing directives will be in place with no more than 100 persons at any one time in the funeral home chapel, avoidance of physical contact and all attendees 10 years of age or older must be wearing a face covering at all times when inside the funeral home.

Interment will be in Palestine Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be David Kitchens, Chuck Lambert, Gary Wright, Devin Smith, Wes Johns, Kyle Johns, T. J. Jenkins and Albert Welch.
