David Alan Crawford

July 23, 1969 — June 8, 2021

On Tuesday, June 8, 2021, David Alan Crawford (51), loving husband, father and brother passed away surrounded by family at Baptist Hospital in North Little Rock, AR. David was born on July 23, 1969, in El Dorado, AR to Eugene and Stella Crawford.

He loved sports! In his 20s and 30s David was a professional wrestler in Arkansas. In 2017 he received the honor of being inducted into the Arkansas Wrestling Hall of Fame. Most of his adult life was spent umpiring, coaching, or volunteering in any way he could. He spent many years volunteering with the El Dorado and Smackover/Norphlet football teams. On May 9, 2020, he married Laura Watson. Their time together was short but such a blessing to them both. David moved to Nashville, AR with his loving wife and immediately found and began volunteering with their football program.

In his younger years David was also affectionately known as Sue and Maniac. He never met a stranger and treated everyone as a friend. He loved to talk and would spend hours calling and checking on friends and loved ones.

David was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Stella (Andfelt) Crawford; maternal grandparents Henry and Anna Anfeldt; paternal grandparents Dorthey Pepper and Ray Spooner.

He is survived by wife Laura; daughter Laken Crawford (Devin Howe); grandchildren Patrick and Jasper; brother Chip Crawford (Valerie); sister Stacy King (Lance); several nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous close family friends.
