David Ewing, Jr.

David Ewing, Jr., age 84, of Glenwood, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2020.

He was born on April 10, 1936 in Bonnerdale, the son of David Ewing, Sr. and Margie Bernice Coffman Ewing. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Donald Ewing and Warren Ewing; and one step-son, Corby Albright.

David graduated from Glenwood High School, attended Henderson State University and then joined the United States Air Force serving four years stationed in London, England. He returned to the states and worked as a repairman, then as a wholesale egg distributor and a truck driver. After retiring, David enjoyed farming and spending time playing dominoes at the Glenwood Senior Adult Center. He was a member of the Bonnerdale Seventh-day Adventist Church.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Donna Sue and Jeff Newbry of Twin Falls, Idaho; his step-children, Teri Lee, Hugh Albright, Lori Thomason and Julie Albright; two grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; his brother and sisters-in-law, Douglas and Pat Ewing of Huntington Beach, California, Glenna Ewing of Richmond, Virginia and Donna Ewing of Riverside California; his sisters and brother-in-law, Norma and Norman Anderson of Meridian, Idaho and Darlene Featherston of Glenwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM, Sunday, August 16, 2020, and the family invites you to join them on Zoom at the following link:

Military honors will be conducted by the Little Rock Air Force Base Honor Guard.

Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, Glenwood.
