Don Garner

Don Garner, age 66, of Amity, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019. He was born on October 15, 1952 in Port Arthur, Texas, the son of Dexter Garner and Louise Jo Folsom Garner. On November 8, 1972, he was married to Sherry Elaine Varner Garner who preceded him in death on April 4, 2015. He was also preceded in death by his parents. He was retired from the United States Navy. He enjoyed hunting and watching football. He is survived by his son David Brian Garner of Glenwood; his grandson, Dexter Garner; two sisters, Geraldine Farris and Linda Coleman, both of Amity; and his nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 16, 2019, in Coker Cemetery with Bro. David Walker officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Larry Partridge, James Coleman, Loyd Pittman, Kyle Waitkus, Joey Varner and Gary Holt. Honorary pallbearer will be Arvin Lindsey.
