Doris Marie Fisk

Doris Marie Fisk, age 78, of Sheridan, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021.

She was born on June 11, 1943, in Newhope, the daughter of Thomas Leo Young and Hazel Adele Fant Young. On July 24, 1963, she was married to the love of her life, Fred Fisk. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her brother, John Young; two sisters, Darlene Edwards and Sue Hamner; and her niece, Carol Thomas.

She was Baptist in her faith and a homemaker, always faithfully taking care of her five girls, while Fred was working on the road. She enjoyed crocheting and spent countless hours loving to play solitaire and Mahjong Tile. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, whose greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, whom she loved with all her heart, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Doris will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Fred Fisk of Sheridan; her five daughters and four sons-in-law, Regina and Wes Stuard and Chris and Barry Stuard, all of Dierks, Norma and Randy Tucker of Newhope, Kathy Fisk of Hot Springs and Jennifer and Roland Knighten of Sheridan; eleven grandchildren and their spouses, Cody and Jess Sherrin, Brian Cook, Kelsey and Justin Westfall, Tatum Stuard, Landan Stuard, Ashley and Daniel Smith, Lance Jackson, Dylan Tucker, Abigail Fisk, Danielle and Will Donham and DJ Jenkins; seven great-grandchildren, Logann Sherrin, Kason Sherrin, Fisher Westfall, Fletcher Westfall, and one on the way, Finnick Westfall, Ethan Jackson, Dawson Smith and Amelia Smith; two brothers, James Young of Newhope and Troy Young of Nashville; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, Thursday, August 5, 2021, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood with Bro. Travis Young officiating.

Visitation will be held Thursday, 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM, prior to the services at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the McHorse Cemetery, Provo, near Lockesburg.

Pallbearers will be Cody Sherrin, Tatum Stuard, Justin Westfall, Lance Jackson, Dylan Tucker, DJ Jenkins and Will Donham.

Honorary pallbearers will be her special Arkansas Hospice nurses, Marilyn Brown, Gail Pate and Chelsea Adams; and the entire staff and the nurses of Arkansas Hospice, our family could have never made it without you all.
