Douglas "Mose" Partridge

Douglas “Mose” Partridge, age 78, of Amity, passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021.

He was born on November 30, 1943, in Amity, the son of Moses Watson Partridge and Johnnie Mary Lockeby Partridge. On September 18, 1986, he was married to Patricia Ann Davis Partridge, who preceded him in death on November 1, 2019. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings.

He was a member of the Amity First Baptist Church and served in the Army National Guard. Mose worked for many years as a grader operator for the Clark County Road Department until his retirement. After he retired, Mose loved growing his wonderful gardens, was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed wood working. Up until just recently, before he became ill, he was restoring his 1968 GMC pickup. Above all, Mose, enjoyed spending time with his family, whom he dearly loved and cherished. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny and Carolyn Partridge of Hot Springs, Perry and Michelle Tilley of Amity and Scott and Tammy Tilley of Ashdown; his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Charles Stewart of Bentonville; eight grandchildren, Alicia Dumler, Lisa Spinks, Marlee Stewart, Stephanie Freeman, Jessica Tilley, Cody Tilley, Julia Gallagher and Chayce Partridge; six great-grandchildren, Alexa, Herrin, Uriah, Jagger, Jax and Tucker; his brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Zelda Partridge of Bonnerdale; two sisters, JoAnn Ilgenfritz of Louisiana and Sherry Milligrock of Hot Springs; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, December 31, 2021, in the Amity First Baptist Church with Bro. Lee Davis officiating.

Visitation will be held Thursday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood.

Interment will be in the Jones Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be David Dumler, Jared Freeman, Jamie Huey, Ricky Johnson, Jay Spinks and Cody Tilley.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Amity Class of 1962, the Clark County Highway Department, Trudy’s Café Staff and Coffee Crew, and the Wall Mountain Hunting Club.
